Presentation. The program for the evening was a presentation by Bill Dale, N2RHV, the ARRL Santa Clara Valley Section Manager. He referred us to the Pacific Division web site for a complete overview of the Pacific Division oganization. Bill discussed the ARRL headquarters buildings and station W1AW and showed several photos from his recent visit there. Bill also made several points about emergency communications:
  • We should have one email address for RACES communications.
  • We should practice communicating using simplex (the repeater may well be jammed with local chatter).
  • The EC will likely be busy training and scheduling operators, and not doing any operating his/her self.
Emergency Services. There was no report from Jim Yoke.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 pm
