The meeting having been duly noticed, it began at approximately 7:45 pm and was called to order by Yin Shih. There were introductions around the table, those present introduced themselves. |

OLD Business: |
EOC Net. Signups were taken for the County EOC to City EOC net on the first Wednesday of the month. |
| Radio Station. The cabinet has been shipped and is due to arrive next week. | |
| Rotary Grant. The thank you letter was sent to the Rotary Club. | |
| Field Day 2006. A big thank you was offered to all who participated. | |
| Saratoga 50th Anniversary Parade. Ken Biester and Warren Lampshire were here to discuss logistics for the parade. There are approximately 73 entries and 2000 people in the parade. We will meet at the Community Center parking lot on September 24th at 10:30 am. We need 12 volunteers. Insurance coverage will be provided through the City of Saratoga. Our mission will be to provide synchronization and traffic control due to road closures. | |

Treasurer's Report. The Treasurer gave his report on the bank account balance. |
| Minutes. The June minutes have been posted on the web site and were approved by the members. | |
| Emergency Communications Committee Report. Rob Vance, N6ROB, informed us that there are discussions in process regarding moving the 2M repeater from Rob's house to new facilities at a space provided by agreement with the City of Saratoga. The City of Saratoga is considering providing space on their tower. There will also be a county exercise. Rob will forward information on this to the members. | |
| Presentation. The speaker from Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 3 was not able to make it due to deployment. Christina will keep us advised. | |
| Saratoga WiFi. Don Bertossa informed us that the City of Saratoga is in the process of offering wifi for the entire city. He asked whether this would affect the amateur radio bands. It will not affect the ham radio bands, so far as we are aware. | |
| Jamboree On The Air. Rob Vance, N6ROB, informed us that he would be participating in Jamboree on the Air over the weekend of October 21-22, 2006 in Pasadena, California. | |
| Pacificon. Pacificon will take place on the weekend of October 13-15, 2006. | |
| Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation. Don Anastasia, AA6W, informed us of the 2006 North America Space Symposium and Annual Meeting taking place on October 5-10, 2006. | |
