Secretary's Report. Christina reported that she had received a premium quote for liability insurance through the ARRL's affiliation insurance program. The club may need to consider raising its dues in order to pay for insurance. There was much discussion on the necessity of obtaining a liabiity insurance policy. It was decided to table the discussion until Christina could do further research on what other ham radio clubs in the area are doing. |
| Treasurer's Report. The Treasurer gave his report on the bank account balance. | |
| Dinner. We discussed dinner attendance and decided to move our dinner location from Hong's Gourmet to Jake's Pizza. | |
| Kelly Johnson's Amateur Radia Antenna. We discussed the City Council meeting of the previous week, where many of the members spoke on behalf of Kelly Johnson, who had erected an amateur radio antenna in his backyard. The members were successful in that the antenna ordinance remains unchanged, although a policy change was added to require that neighbors are informed regarding federal and state preemption issues. | |
| Minutes. The March and April minutes have been posted on the web site and were approved by the members. | |
| Field Day 2006. There will be a work party on May 27 at David Ritchie's home. | |
