| The meeting having been duly noticed, it began at approximately 7:38 pm and was called to order by John Glass. There were introductions around the table, those present introduced themselves. | |
OLD Business: |
Rotary Club Grant. John announced that we expect a letter from the Rotary Club inviting us to accept their donation of $3000. The letter will invite representatives of S.A.R.A. to a Rotary Club meeting to accept a check. |
New Business: |
Treasurer's Report. Christina reported the current bank account balance, including club and ARRL renewals (dues) so far this year. |
| Station Installation at Fire Station. The Fire Station needs to accept the construction of the building. Until this is final, the radio station cannot be set up. A list of the requested equipment for the radio station exists and will be emailed out by Christina for review. | |
| Minutes. January meeting minutes were approved. Board meeting minutes were approved unanimously by all directors and officers. | |
| Conflict of Interest Policy. Discussion on this matter was deferred to a later date. | |
| Field Day 2005. A discussion on Field Day activities was held. Dick will try and reserve the same site as last year. New rules are in place for this year. The event is always on the 4th full weekend in June, which is June 25 and 26. There was discussion on methods of earning points during the event e.g. getting press coverage in print. There was additional discussion of Field Day tasks to prepare the equipment needed. Any members wishing to participate in Field Day, please email Christina Sand, KG6ORH | |
| Club Repeater. John encouraged club members to use the repeater more. | |
| Presentation. Dan Smith, K6PRK, spoke about crystal radio sets and showed some he had built. He also spoke about tubes and showed some he had collected. | |
