S.A.R.A. Minutes from meeting on 1/14/2004

In attendance were:

• Don Anastasia AA6W

Meeting started at about 7:42pm.

Old Business:

• Christina and Rob attended the San Jose Water meeting presented by Cupertino. Christina described the meeting presentation.
• There is a drill this Saturday 1/17/04.
• If there is an emergency and repeater goes down, go to simplex on the output.
• Lorie Tinfow's presentation last month was very good.

New Business:

• All 4 offices are up for election plus 2 board positions. The following people were nominated for the listed positions and subsequently elected:
  • John Glass NU6P - President
  • Greg Reynolds KG6HDI - Vice President
  • Don Anastasia AA6W - Secretary
  • Christina Sand KG6ORH - Treasurer
  • Rob Vance, N6ROB - Director
  • Richard Crouch, N6RC - Director
  • Lou DeGive, WA6RAG - Honorary NonVoting Director

• It was proposed that we do another mailing to the Saratoga Hams. Rob will revise the flyer and submit a draft by next meeting. Responses will be mailed back to Christina's P.O. BOX. John Glass volunteered his email address and phone number for people to write with questions or ask for more information. Existing memebers will be reminded to renew with the flyer that goes out.
• Christina volunteered to look into our club email. The one at QSL is broken.
• We need volunteers for the Tuesday night net control positions for both 10M and 2M. Next week (1/20/04) Joe will do 10M and Greg will do 2M. John will contact Larry KG6ENF to ask him if he will solicite volunteers and keep track of the list.
