Meeting started at about 7:30pm.

Discussion on coverage during the Halloween caper:
- John and Rob took down names of volunteers to cover various positions for Halloween night.
- It was mentioned that the frequency used by the Sheriff for the West Valley area is 155.700 (channel 2) and it is digital. The frequency used for east San Jose is 156.210.
- Assignments will be communicated via email or by telephone.
Discussion on what can the club do to promote itself to the City of Saratoga:
- Provide parking assistance for events
- Operate "lost and found" during events
- Provide general communications during events
- Assist "first aid" operations during events
- Write an article on the club to be published in the Saratoga News
Discussion on the "Jamboree on the Air" (Dick Crouch N6RC led the discussion):
- This event is to tell and show Amateur Radio to the Boy & Girl Scouts
- Location: Milpitas Fire Station, 777 West Main
- Date: Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of October
- Setup will be on Friday 17th October, contact Dick if you can help.
Announcements:
- Rob announced that he will not be the President or an Officer of the club next year. He said he would continue to maintain the club repeater and the Echo Link node.
- Volunteers are needed to be net control for Tuesday nights. 10/14 will be covered by John NU6P and 10/21 will be covered by Rob N6ROB.
