SARA FIELD DAY 2004
- K6SA -
Saratoga, California

Field Day 2004 was held at Castle Rock State Park. You can view photos of the event by clicking here.

The following notice of the event was posted one week prior to its commencement:

We are a big "GO" for field day this year at our site in Castle Rock State Park (click below for a topo map of the area). It's on the left, one mile south of Hwy 9 on Skyline (Summit) Road. See location data below and topo map. The entrance road angles to the left at 30 degrees so you have to turn around in the road turnout just beyond the entrance on the right.

We will have two HF radios, a Force 12 C-3SS and F12- 80m vertical, my Hummer H2 either standalone or feeding a second operating position. We also have 2m/450m, a tent (Christina), a screened porch, cooking stove, generator, etc.

You can find out more about the rules for Field Day, here.

Hope you can join us for as much time as possible. We will need operators, cooks, loggers, antenna builders, etc. We are expecting to begin setup at 6 PM Friday evening.

Here's the onsite satellite location info:

We are planning to have a spaghetti feed on Saturday evening. Christina Sand, KG6ORH, will supply the spaghetti, sauce and garlic bread.

If you plan to attend, please also bring a folding chair, your beverage of choice, and a dessert to share with everyone else.

Please RSVP to Dick Crouch or Christina Sand ASAP so we will know who we can count on participating.
